MicroTCA (Micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture) is a PICMG standard for open modular systems based on AMCs (Advanced Mezzanine Cards).

Designed to address high communication bandwidth, high processing capacity and high availability requirements, MicroTCA platforms have enough bandwidth for the most challenging applications.

MicroTCA offers designers a wide range of options by allowing full redundant systems, partially redundant systems and systems with no redundancy at all. It’s because of these types of options that MicroTCA is an ideal platform for a wide range of application spaces.

Applications in Military/Aerospace, Communications, Medical and Industrial will benefit from MicroTCA’s compact design, performance capabilities, and full-range of system design options.


The NAT-MCH is a MicroTCA Carrier Hub in the form factor of a single or double width, mid- or full-size Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC). It provides the central management and data switching entity for all MicroTCA systems. The NAT-MCH is MTCA.0, MTCA.1, MTCA.2, MTCA.3 and MTCA.4 compliant and delivers switching and hub functionality for the various system fabrics i.e. Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), PCI-Express (PCIe Gen 3), Serial Rapid I/O (SRIO Gen 2) or 10Gigabit Ethernet (XAUI) or custom protocols based on Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA. The NAT-MCH can also provide a centralized clock distribution to all AMCs in the system.
